Hospice of Abouna Yaacoub for the elderly and infirm in Cheikh Taba – Akkar
The Congregation started the execution of this project with the sketches prepared by Dar Al-Handasah, on June 22, 2010. Walking in his footsteps, the Congregation relies on the Divine Providence and on the cooperation of persons of good will and generosity, so that this project comes as a special cycle within the frame designed for all the Lebanese regions.
- Objective of the project:
- The presence in the suburbs of Lebanon, with the aim of fulfilling the wish of the Founder, Blessed Abouna Yaacoub.
- Caring for the elderly and the infirm.
- Location of the project:
The project is located in Cheikh Taba region, adjacent to Halba town, Akkar governorate which comprises three hundred and sixty towns and villages; the population of this region is about four hundred thousand.
- Description of the project:
The construction area is nine thousand two hundred and five square meters on a property of sixteen thousand square meters. The building can accommodate 100 beds and meets the required international conditions and standards.
The foundations with part of the building have been executed, and the completion is in progress.
