Thursday 16 April 2026 The administration of the Hospital of the Cross organized a two-day spiritual retreat for its staff and employees on March 20 and 27, 2026, under the theme “Transformation.”
During the retreat, Father Samer Elias shared reflections on the Gospel passages from the Sundays of Lent, from the Wedding at Cana to the Healing of the Blind Man, illustrating how the Gospel calls us to inner transformation. He emphasized that true peace and happiness stem from an inner change, freeing ourselves from the judgment of others, bringing our wounds into the light, and letting go of fear, failure, and illness, ultimately seeking spiritual healing and placing complete trust in God.
The retreat program included an hour of adoration with confessions, followed by the Eucharistic celebration, offering participants a rich and renewing spiritual journey. It left them with a deep sense of peace and personal transformation, preparing them to celebrate the joy of the glorious Easter feast.
